- Jensen #75; Boxed, Complete, and Ready to run.
Up for sale now is my lovely, fairly early Jensen #75. I don't like having to sell engines but I'm so busy that this and the #70 just don't see a lot of use and the extra money would be a real help for restoring the other 30-odd engines on this site, so it's time that these engines find a new home.
The good: This engine has been completely stripped down, cleaned, and refurbished. Paint loss is minor and it goes like the clappers. The original box, burner, funnel, and drive belt are included, and the engine is guaranteed to be ready-to-run.
The bad: As with any playworn engine, there are scratches and corrosion, but both are very minor as this engine has been well taken care of. The decal is lifting in one corner, there is some minor tarnishing of the ladder and stack, and, of course, the burnt salmon paint.
Overall, a good first engine. Fun to play with and includes everything needed to satisfy the young engineer. The #75 is a powerhouse and, like all Jensens, is built like a tank. An excellent no-worries steamer.
